THE RIVERS, STREETS AND FRUIT OF THE NEW JERUSALEM

An he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the Throne of God and of the Lamb, …
…right down the middle of the street. The Tree of Life was planted on each side of the river producing 12 kinds of fruit, a ripe fruit for each month. The leaves of the Tree are for the healing of the nations.

Note: The rulers of the New Jerusalem: There will be no more of the curse that came as a result of Lucifer’s and Adam’s rebellion. Conditions as before will prevail eternally and things will continue as if the curse had never been. All rebels will be confined to the Lake of Fire as an eternal monument of God’s wrath on sin and as a warning to coming generations in all eternity that sin does not pay. The New Heaven and New Earth and the new people will be the same ones we have today only in a new state. All things will be made new, not new things will be made to take the place of the old. (21:5; 22:3)

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it and His servants shall serve Him.
And they shall see His face and His name shall be in their foreheads.

Note: The servants will be the faithful angels, redeemed men, and all other creatures that have not rebelled or have been redeemed from all possibility of rebellion in all eternity (Eph. 1:10; 1 Cor 15:24-28)

All creatures of the eternal state will actually look upon God’s face and His name shall be in their foreheads as in 3:12; 7:1-8; 9:4; 14:1. They shall reign and help GOD administer the affairs of the UNIVERSE forever. (v 5; 1:5; 5:10; Dan 7:18, 27; Zech 14:5: 1 Cor 6:1-2; 2 Tim 2:12)

Never again will there be any night. No one will needs lamp light or sun light. The shining glory of the Lord GOD is all the light anyone needs. An they will rule with HIM forever.
The angels said to me, “Theses sayings are faithful and true: And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants what must take place and soon.
(Blessings for keeping the truths of the book).
”Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keps the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
(a common mistake in worship see Acts 10:25-26; Rev. 1:17: 19:10) I, John, saw all these things with my own eyes, heard them with my ears. Immediately when I heard and saw, I fell on my face to worship at the feet of the angel who laid it all out before me.
Then he said to me, “No you don’t. I am a servant just like you and your companions, the prophets (a believer) and sll who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”

10. The angels continued, “Don’t seal the words of the prophecy of this book; don’t put it away on the shelf. Time is just about up!

Note: This is proof that the angel of 1:1; 19:9-10; 22:6-10 is a redeemed man.

Note: Command NOT to seal the book. (Dan 12:4)

These truths were to be understood and kept by all, hence they are not hidden from those who will believe them, but hidden from those who refuse to believe (2 Cor 4:4)

Here again emphasis is put on the fact of the immediate fulfillment of these events which were to happen in consecutive order from John’s day into eternity: first, the things of the churches, up to the rapture (chs. 1-3) secondly, events between the rapture and the 2^nd Advent (chs. 4-10) thirdly, events of the Millennium and the New Earth forever (chs 20-22)

Note: Eternal State of men to be as they are when they die:

11.He that is unjust let him be unjust still: he which is filthy , let him be filthy still: and he that righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy let him be holy still.

12.”Behold, I Come Quickly: and my reward is with me. I’ll pay all people in full for their life’s work.

13. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Note: The last blessing for those who keep the truths of the Book.

14. Blessed are they that do His commandments that they may have the right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in throught the gates of the city.

Note: (Rev 22:14-15, unfulfilled) Next verse 18 on Only men who obey GOD and keep His commandments are promised eternal life, not those who profess and do not obey (John 6:22)

2 Eternal rights of the Redeemed: 1) Right to the Tree of Life 2) Right to enter the New Jerusalem.

15. (Last warning against sin and eternal punishment) But outside for good are the filthy cur, sorcerers, fornicators, murderers, idolators—all those who love lies.

16. “I, Jesus, sent my Angel to testify to these things for the churches. I am the root and branch of David, and the bright and morning star.”

17. “Come!” say the Spirit and the Bride. Whoever hears, echo, “Come!” Is anyone thirsty? Come! All who will, come and drink freely of the water of Life!

Note: Last call to repentance (v 17) 1) The Holy Spirit (Jn.16:7-11) 2)The Bride..those who are married to Jesus Christ in every generation and who will go to live in the New Jerusalem, which is the Bride, the Lamb’s wife (v17:21:2, 9-10)

18 and 19. I give fair warning to all who hear the words of the prophecy of this book: If you add to the words of this prophecy, God will add to your life the disasters written in this book; If you subtract from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will subtract your part from the Tree of Life and the Holy City that are written in this book.

20. He who testifies to all these things says it again, “I am on my way! I will be there soon!” Even so come, Lord Jesus!

21. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
