As a Thief In the Night - Days of Noah

Many there are in Christendom today who teach that Christians can't know when Jesus is coming because He's coming like a thief in the night. Yes indeed, Jesus is coming as a thief in the night. But, to whom is He coming as a thief?  The Bible says:

 "But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night" (I Thessalonians 5:1 & 2).
There you have it, beloved. The day of the Lord is coming as a thief in the night.  Many stop right there to prove their point that no one can know the time. The day of the Lord in this text is speaking about the time immediately preceding the Second Coming of the Lord.  How do we know that?  Let's go on to the next verse.  Often we don't read far enough. The next verse says:

 "For when THEY shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon THEM, as travail upon a woman with child: and THEY shall not escape" (I Thessalonians 5:3).
Who are THEY and THEM in the verse above?  THEY and THEM are the unbelievers in the tribulation before the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus.  Always, in both the Old and New Testaments, the day of the Lord refers to the Second Coming of the Lord in judgment.  Always, in the New Testament, the day of Jesus Christ, or Christ Jesus, refers to the Rapture of the Church.  Check it out.  So then, in the verses above, Paul is saying that the day of the Lord and its judgment will come as a thief in the night upon THEM, and THEY shall not escape. Now, let's go on to the next verse where Paul speaks to US about US:

 "But YE, BRETHREN are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief" (I Thessalonians 5:4).
Will the day of the Lord come upon the brethren (believers) as a thief in the night?  Not a chance!  Why not?  We, the brethren, have spiritual eyes to see.  They don't.  The next verse says:

 "Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.  Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober" (I Thessalonians 5:5 & 6).
Let us watch and be sober!  Let us watch especially the Road Map to Israeli-Palestinian peace; the covenant to be confirmed (guaranteed) by the Gentile antichrist.  Jesus also told the Church to watch and know the hour of His coming:

 "If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee" (Revelation 3:3).
Jesus said that from the negative side. If we read it from the positive side, He said, If you watch, I will not come upon you as a thief, and YOU SHALL KNOW what hour I will come upon you. WATCH AND KNOW THE HOUR OF HIS COMING!  THUS SAITH THE LORD!  

 Jesus told the Church if we watch we won't be overtaken as a thief in the night and we will know what hour He will come.  Is this a contradiction to what Jesus said to Israel?  No, it is not.  Jesus said to Israel before His death and resurrection:

 "But of that day and hour KNOW E TH no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" (Matthew 24:36).
Notice please, the verb KNOWETH is in the present tense, relative to the time Jesus said it.  Remember, when Jesus said this, it was 32 A.D. and at that time only God the Father knew.  But, did He say that no one would ever know?  No! He did not.  In the very next verses He goes on to explain:

As In the Days of Noah

 "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be" (Matthew 24:37).
Let us now go to the book of Genesis and learn more about the days of Noah.

God Foretold the Number of Years Until the Coming Judgment

God revealed to Noah that man's days would be another 120 years until the judgment would come:

 "And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years" (Genesis 6:3).
God Revealed the Way of Salvation for the Believers

"Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch" (Genesis 6:14).
God always keeps the believers from His wrath and judgment. Later, after the ark was finished and as the hour of judgment was nigh, God then revealed to Noah the exact day it would come.

God Foretold the Exact Day

 "FOR YET SEVEN DAYS, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth" (Genesis 7:4).
God Kept His Word

 "And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth" (Genesis 7:10).
Now let's go back to Matthew 24 and further examine what Jesus was saying about the days of Noah:
"But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were before the flood THEY were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took THEM all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be" (Matt. 24:37-39).
THEY were eating and drinking.  THEY were marrying and giving in marriage. THEY knew not until the flood came and took THEM all away.  Who were THEY? THEY were the unbelievers.  The unbelievers knew not until the flood came and took THEM all away.  But, as the time drew nigh, THE BELIEVERS KNEW the exact day before the fact!  AMEN!
"BUT AS THE DAYS OF NOE WERE, SO SHALL ALSO THE COMING OF THE S ON OF MAN BE."

What is the Rapture by B. Fox

            The actual word Rapture does not appear in Scripture. It literally means, “catching away.” The rapture of the church is also called “the coming of the Lord” but never the second coming of Christ. 

            At the rapture Christ does not appear visibly to those on Earth but He comes in the air above the Earth to catch up or rapture the dead and living saints who rise together to meet the Lord in the air. There are many different ideas about these two comings of Christ, which have made it difficult to distinguish one coming from the other. There are so many Scriptures that have been misapplied to the rapture and the second coming that one might readily see why there is confusion.  

            The rapture is purely a New Testament doctrine and was first revealed to Paul as a special revelation (1 Cor. 15:51-58), while the second coming of Christ is not only a New Testament doctrine, but is one of the chief themes of the Old Testament. The Old Testament prophets never saw the New Testament Church, much less the rapture of the church.  

            There is not one passage in the Bible that refers to both events as if they were one. They are two distinct comings separated by several years and not two phases or stages of one coming. The rapture takes place several years before the literal advent of Christ to the Earth, for his born again raptured believers will be coming back with Him. 

The Fact and Manner of the Rapture 

            The fact and manner of the rapture are clearly revealed in the following Scriptures: “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye many be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man” (Luke 21:34-36), “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:1-3), “But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming…Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,….in a moment, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed….For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality….So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory…O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?  

            For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1Thess. 4:13-17), “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him…. 

            For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming” (2 Thess. 2:1, 7, 8). See the other passages on the rapture (2 Cor. 5:1-8; Phil. 3:11; 1 Thess. 2:19; 3:13; 5:9, 23: Col. 3:4; James 5:7, 8; 1 John 2:28; 3:2; 1 Pet. 5:4). 

           Note: We (the body of Christ) are the HE or hinderer of lawlessness in 2 Thess. 2:1-8. The body of Christ is referred to as “he.” Christ is a he. Anti-Christ will not be revealed until we, the body of Christ, are gone.

 

Twenty Contrasts Between the Rapture and the Second Advent from Dake's God's Plan for Man

 1. The rapture is a going up to heaven of all saved men of all past ages (Jn. 14:1-3; Col. 3:4; Jas. 5:7-8; Rev. 5:8-10; 19:1-10), whereas the second advent is a coming down from heaven to earth of the same people (Rev. 19:11-21; Jude 14-15; 2 Th. 1:7-10; Mt. 16:27; 24:29-31; 25:31-46; Zech. 14:1-9).


  2. The rapture is a coming of Christ from heaven to the clouds (not to the earth) for the saints—both dead (who will be resurrected) and alive—to take them to heaven (1 Th. 4:16), while the second advent is a coming from heaven with the previously raptured saints to set up a kingdom and rule eternally (Zech. 14:1-9; Jude 14-15; Rev. 11:15; 19:11-21; 22:4-5; 2 Th. 1:7-10; Mt. 25:31-46; Isa. 9:6-7; Dan. 2:44-45; 7:9-15, 18, 22, 27; Lk. 1:32-36).

 3. Our goal in the rapture is heaven to live with Christ in our mansions (Jn. 14:1-3; 1 Th. 2:19-26; 3:13; 4:13-18; 5:1-11, 23; Rev. 5:8-10; 19:1-10; Col. 3:4; Jas. 5:7-8), while the goal in the second advent is to leave heaven for the earth to reign forever (Zech. 14; Jude 14-15; Rev. 11:15; 19:11 - 20:10).


  4. At the rapture Christ does not come to destroy the Antichrist or any other wicked man but to remove the hinderer of lawlessness, so that the Antichrist can come (2 Th. 2:7-8), while at the second advent Christ comes back to the earth with all saints of all ages to destroy Antichrist and multitudes of wicked men (2 Th. 2:7-8; Dan. 7:11; Jude 14-15; Rev. 19:11-21; see also Mt. 24:37-42; 25:31-46; Ezek. 38-39; Zech. 14).


 5. At the rapture Christ comes from heaven to the clouds only (not to the earth) to take the good from among the bad
(Jn. 5:28-29; Jn. 14:1-3; Lk. 21:34-36; 1 Cor. 15:23, 51-54; Phil. 3:21; Col. 3:4; 1 Th. 4:16-18; Jas. 5:7-8),
while at the second advent—years later—He comes to the earth with His raptured saints to take the bad from among the good
(Mt. 13:30, 39-43, 49-50; 24:29-31, 37-42; Jude 14-15; Ezek. 38-39; Zech. 14; Rev. 19:11-21).


  6. At the rapture only those qualified for heaven will be raptured only those who are born again will be changed from mortality to immortality and go to heaven. At the second advent, on the other hand, any and all men qualified to live on the earth as citizens will be (Jn. 14:1-3; Lk. 21:34-36; 1 Cor. 15:23; 1 Th. 4:16; Rev. 20:4-6); permitted to continue as natural people into the next age, without any change from mortality to immortality (Mt. 25:31-46; Zech. 8:23; 14:1-21; Isa. 2:2-4; 66:19-21; Dan. 2:44-45; 7:9-14; 1 Cor. 15:24-28; Rev. 2:27-28; 11:15; 20:4-6).


 7. At the rapture there will be no battle of Armageddon (Jn. 14:1-3; Lk. 21:34-36; 1 Cor. 15:23, 51-54; 1 Th. 4:16), while at the second advent Armageddon will be fought (Zech. 14; 2 Th. 1:7-10; Jude 14-15; Rev. 16:13-16; 19:11-21; Ezek. 38-39).


 8. At the rapture there will be no change of home lands on earth among the nations (Jn. 14:1-3), while at the second advent there will be a general separation of nations back to their original home lands, including Israel (Isa. 11:11-12; Dt. 32:8; Ezek. 37; Mt. 24:31; Acts 17:26).


 9. At the rapture no man will be sent to hell, but all saints will be taken to heaven (Jn. 14:1-3; Lk. 21:34-36; 1 Th. 4:16; Rev. 5:8-10; 19:1-10), while at the second advent millions of men will be sent to hell and none taken to heaven (Mt. 13:30, 43-50; 25:31-46; Isa. 14:9-15; Rev. 14:9-11; 19:20; 20:10).


  10. At the rapture all saints will “escape all these things that shall come to pass” during the tribulation, and will “stand before the Son of man” (Lk. 21:34-36; Jn. 14:1-3; 1 Th. 4:16; 5:1-11; Rev. 5:8-10; 19:1-10; see Chapter 10), whereas at the second advent no man who is subject to punishment will escape (Rev. 19:1-21; Mt. 24:29-31; 25:31-46; 2 Th. 1:7-10).


 11. The rapture will take place before the revelation of the Antichrist (2 Th. 2:7-8) and before the tribulation and fulfillment of Rev. 4:1 - 22:21, while the second advent will take place after these events (Mt. 24:29-31; 2 Th. 2:7-8; Rev. 5:8-10; 19:11-21).


 12. At the rapture there will be a resurrection of all the righteous dead (1 Th. 4:16; 1 Cor. 15:23, 51-54; Phil. 3:21), while at the second advent there will be no resurrection of any righteous man, for the first resurrection will then be over (Rev. 20:4-6).


  13. At the time of the rapture no man on earth will know who the Antichrist is (2 Th. 2:7-8), whereas at the second advent all men on earth in the civilized parts will know who he is (Rev.6-18). 13:1


 14. At the rapture the church and all others who are redeemed saints at that time will be presented to God in heaven (Eph. 5:27; 1 Th. 3:13; 5:23), while at the second advent all raptured saints will be presented to men on earth as their new rulers (Rev. 2:27; 5:10; 20:4-6; Dan. 7:9-27).


  15. Before the rapture there will be no marriage supper of the Lamb, whereas just before the second advent there will be such a supper of Christ with all the redeemed of all ages past (Rev. 19:1-21).


 16. There will be a seven-year period of tribulation after the rapture (2 Th. 2:7-8; Dan. 9:27; Rev. 6:1 - 19:21), whereas there will be no tribulation at all after the second advent, for the second coming of Christ ends all tribulation (Mt. 24:29-31; 25:31-46; Rev. 19-20).


  17. There will be no end of the world (age) at the time of the rapture, while the age will definitely end at the time of the second advent of Christ to the earth
 (Mt. 24:1-3, 29-31; 25:31-46; 2 Th. 2:7-8; Rev. 19:1 - 20:10).

 


  18. The rapture is an event that can take place any day without any prophecy being fulfilled or any sign coming to pass (1 Cor. 1:7; Phil. 3:21; Tit. 2:13; 1 Th. 1:10), while the second advent cannot take place until all of the predictions in Mt. 24-25; Mk 13; Lk. 21:1-11, 25-33; 2 Th. 2:7-8; and Rev. 4:1 - 19:10 have been fulfilled.


 19. There will be no reign of the Antichrist before the rapture, but there will be such a reign before the second advent (Dan. 9:27; 2 Th. 2:7-8; Rev. 6:1 - 19:21).


  20. There will be no martyrdoms of saints after the second advent, while there will be multitudes of martyrs after the rapture and between the time of the rapture and the second advent (Rev. 6:9-11; 7:9-17; 13:7; 14:9-13; 15:1-4; 17:6; 18:24; 20:4-6).

 

 

 We conclude then, that if the church and all other raptured saints are to eat a marriage supper with Christ in heaven (as in Rev. 19:1-10), which happens just before the second advent begins (as in Rev. 19:11-21), then the church cannot remain on earth through the tribulation period.

  It must arrive in heaven prior to the time of the second advent.
   Furthermore, if the saints are to leave with Christ at the second advent they must already be up in heaven before that time so as to be able to return with Him.
  And since the rapture can take place at any moment (as taught in 1 Cor. 15:51-54; Phil. 3:21 and Tit. 2:13)—
   since it could have happened even in Paul’s day according to these passages of Scripture—then we can be certain that the rapture will not take place at a specified time as in the case of the second advent which is predicted to happen at a particular time—that is, at the end of the tribulation period
(Mt. 24:29-31; Rev. 19:11-21).


This, to us, is truly conclusive proof that the rapture of the church and O.T. saints will take place before the tribulation begins.

Antichrist not revealed until hindering force removed

In 2 Thessalonians we are told that the "man of sin (or lawlessness)" will not be revealed until "He who now restrains" is taken out of the way.

Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to Him, that you may not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he may be revealed.

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. And then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; (II Thessalonians 2:1-8)

In John 16:7-8 we are told that it is The Holy Spirit who will "convict the world concerning sin..." God The Holy Spirit can never be removed from the earth, but, in the sense that He is effectively restraining sin through Christians in whom He dwells, the time will come, once those Christians are gone, that wickedness will abound. Today Christians are everywhere: in their occupations, in the market place, in the schools, even in government halls. But during the Tribulation, true believers will be persecuted and either killed or driven underground, so that their godly influence will not be felt in the world. When the church is taken in the Rapture, the world will be ripe for Antichrist to step forth with his ungodly plans. True, multitudes of people will turn to Christ and will become true believers in the tribulation period. They will also be indwelt by the Holy Spirit, but they will not be permitted to take the place of the missing Christians in society. They will be outcasts, and therefore the Holy Spirit will not have the same restraining influence on the world that He now has. Most, or even all of them, will be quickly put to death by the man of sin.

            The rapture will include Old Testament saints and the church saints who are saved in the scope of redemption from Adam until the rapture. This does not mean to say that the scope of redemption ends with the rapture for it is eternal.  

            The “trump of God” (1 Thess. 4:16) is not the same as the seventh trumpet of  Rev. 11:15;  13:18. One occurs at the rapture of the church and the Old Testament saints. (1 Thess. 4:16), while the other is at the rapture of the manchild (Rev. 11:15- 12:5); One is the trumpet of God and the other the trumpet of the 7th angel. One is blessing….one is woe!  One is to herald one single event which takes place “in the twinkling of an eye” and the other is to herald many events which are days in duration.

 

The Purpose of the Rapture

 

            The purpose of the rapture is to resurrect the just from the dead and take all the saints out of the world BEFORE the tribulation comes, in order that they may have fulfilled in them the purpose for which God has saved them. Jesus told the disciples that some would escape the terrible things that were to transpire on the Earth in the last days. He said, “Pray that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things (of Matt. 24, 25; Luke 21:1-19, 25-28) that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man” (Luke 21:34-36).  

            This rapture before the beginning of the Week is the first of a series of raptures that will take place during the first resurrection. Besides this rapture there will be the rapture of the manchild in the middle of the Week (Rev.7:1-3; 12:5; 14:1-5), the rapture of the great multitude of the tribulation saints (Rev. 6:9-11; 7:9-17; 15:2-4; 20:4-6), the rapture of the two witnesses at the end of the Week (&years) [Rev. 11:3-13]. The teaching of more than one rapture is not only required and stated in these passages but necessary to make clear what Paul meant when he said, “every man in his own order” (1 Cor. 15:20-23).  In order for every man to raptured “in his own order” or company there must be different companies of redeemed people saved and raptured at different periods. This is proved by the following facts

1.      The Old Testament Saints. John the Baptist completed this company. (Matt. 11:1012: Luke 16:16; John 3:29). In these passages both Jesus and John recognized it as being separate from the church saints.

2.      The Church saints. Such passages as Matt. 16:18; 1 Cor. 12:27, 28; Eph. 1:20-23  2:14-22; 4:12-16, 5:21-32, Col. 1:18, 24 prove that the church of the New Testament did not begin before Christ’s ministry on Earth, for He is the head and founder of it.

3.      The 144,000 Jews are identified as a separate company from any others in Rev. 7:1-8; 9:4; 14:1-5. (See also Isa. 66:7-8; Dan 12:1.)

4.      The great multitude of tribulation saints are proved to be a company distinct from the above three in Rev. 6:9-11; 7:9-17; 14:13; 15:2-4; 20:4-6.

 

Qualification for Partaker in the Rapture 

            Why should some be protected while others have to go through the tribulation and be martyred? This is easily answered when we consider that at the rapture every one in Christ is taken up and there are no real Christians left at that moment. Those who are martyred in the tribulation are those who have refused to walk in the light and live “in Christ” and are not ready to go at the time of the rapture, else they would go as well as all others in Christ.  They are saved after the rapture having realized by then their mistake of not heeding the many warnings to be ready at any time. They will become determined to be faithful even unto death, which will be their only prospect of having a part in the first resurrection. Those who are not martyred but are taken through the tribulation and are on Earth at the second coming of Christ will be permitted to enter the Millennium as an earthly people, and they will be a part of the subjects of Christ’s kingdom over whom the raptured saints will reign forever.

My opinion is that we are running out of time and the catching away could happen any moment. If we have any more than ten years left before the rapture I will be surprised. I have always thought it would occur during the Jewish observance of Rosh Hashanah which is anywhere from mid to late September. That holy DAY is 48 hours long so it is certainly true that the day and hour no man can know.

 

            Revelation 4:1 shows the raptured church in heaven….before the tribulation starts.

 

Subject:  PROOF OF A PRE-TRIB RAPTURE And ROSH HASHANAH

 

Rosh Hashanah is a Jewish Feast that is called the unknown day. In ancient times no man knew when it began. The first moon had to be spotted first by two witnesses, then the Temple would give the order to blow the Shofar Trumpet so all Israel would begin the festival. This trumpet was referred to as the Last Trump. No one knew when it would be blown since spotting the thin silver moon low on the horizon was very difficult. This is why it is referred to as "the day no man know the day nor the hour in which it begins." This is what Jesus was referring too when he made the same statement. It is a Jewish idiom for Rosh Hashanah. It is sad how the churches teach this is literal and not a Jewish idiom that the Jews understand so well. It comes every year usually some time in September. This year it is September 16th 2004

 

What is also very interesting is that when a Jewish man comes for his bride on an unknown day that she knows not, the best man blows the Shofar (Last Trump). The groom come unexpectedly to snatch his bride away and to take her to her father's house. Only when the father declared it was time for the son to snatch his bride away could the son go and get her. Only the father knows when the time comes because he is the one that decides when. The son never knew when the father would declare the time. "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matt 24:36

Rosh Hashanah is also known as a time when the gates of heaven open wide and a time of resurrection. Rosh is also referred to as the shout and the awakening. In the past the Temple had to declare within a two day time frame when Rosh would begin by sounding the Trump of God. Toda there is no Temple, so Jesus himself will have to declare it and He will also come for His bride at the same time.


"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1Thes 4:16-18

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." 1 Cor 15:52

Also Rosh Hashanah is a time of judgment against Israel. It is the most serious and sobering time of the year for Israel. First the Last Trump is blown and then the time of atonement begins. Because this day is the most solemn day in the year, it is known as "The Day."
This is when Israel fasts and repents before God before He judges them. Then a series of a silver trumpets sound while God's Judgment on Israel begins. The book of Revelation parallels the entire trumpet judgment to a tee. Before the time of judgment comes, the Last Trump is blown first. Then and only then can the trumpet judgments begin. When the Last Trump of God is blown, it is then the Bride of Christ is snatched away!

 

This is crystal clear evidence of a PreTrib Rapture! Some argue that we cannot know when the Rapture comes. This true because we have to wait and see when Jesus will come with His best man (archangel) and sound the Last Trump. Some also say, but the church has nothing to do with the Jewish feasts. Why is because the churches have totally stripped the churches of all it's Jewish roots! But the fact is that we have been grafted in.

 

Because the churches have removed themselves from the Jewish root, the Post Tribulation doctrine has found rich fertile ground in which to grow. It grows well in the churches and denominations. So why study the feasts?

New World Order planners can possibly "take over the world by projecting holographic images into the sky while beaming thoughts directly into our heads, telling us to accept the new 'god' of their design." [HAARP: The Ultimate Weapon Of The Conspiracy , by Jerry E. Smith, p. 15; New Age adherent]

When I read this, my blood ran cold, since I was immediately reminded of Jesus' prophetic words in Matthew 24:24, that the deception at the End of the Age would be so very, very good that it would involve "... great signs and wonders ; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

When most people read this passage, their focus is on the extreme deception foretold, not on the fact that our Lord is warning us that this deception will take the form of "great signs and wonders ".  Not only has New Age author, Jerry Smith, warned us in the quote, above, that HAARP technology has given New World Order planners the technological capability to carry out such a global grand scheme, but another New Age leader, Peter Lemesurier, has similarly warned us.

"Belief sometimes needs a physical crutch. Various commentators have suggested that, even during the Exodus itself, the semi-legendary Cloud of the Presence may, like the equally-legendary pillar of fire and smoke which accompanied the long march, have been some kind of technological phenomenon. Certainly, therefore, the use of such special effects should not be ruled out on this occasion [appearance of Antichrist]." [Lemesurier, The Armageddon Script , p. 236]

Note the use of the words, "special effects" in the quote above; you can read "great [lying] signs and wonders".  The Illuminati are putting us on notice that they are going to target the entire world with their "special effects".  Christians should understand that we are the ones with the largest bullseye painted on our backs.  We are the #1 enemy of the Illuminati and are targeted for special destruction, and elimination.

I find it highly significant that, as political, religious, and economic signs increasingly point toward the End of the Age prophecies of the globalist Kingdom of Antichrist, Hollywood has gained ever increasing capabilities to produce movies that are so very, very realistic.   New Age writings are plain in their belief that the "signs and wonders" attending the appearance of their Christ will be very technological in nature, much like a huge Hollywood script .  Speaking of scripts, listen to the last words of Peter Lemesurier, as he finishes his concluding section as to how the Christ [Antichrist] will be able to deceive the peoples of the world into worshipping him as God:

"Their script is now written, subject only to last-minute editing and stage-directions.  The stage itself, albeit as yet in darkness, is almost ready.  Down in the pit, the subterranean orchestra is already tuning up.  The last-minute, walk-on parts are even now being filled.   Most of the main actors ... have already taken up their roles.  Soon it will be time for them to come on stage, ready for the curtain to rise.  The time for action will have come." [Lemesurier, The Armageddon Script , p. 252]

New Age writings have always claimed that their Christ will be acting on a world-wide stage, according to a prewritten script, just as Lemesurier writes, above.  This deliberate and careful scripting has been carried out by the most brilliant men imaginable, writing with demonic supernatural assistance.  No major event by a major actor or actress [Political and Key Business Leader] is spontaneous; all such major events are carefully scripted. For example, when President Clinton speaks, he is following a carefully planned script.

Some New age authors have even been so explicit as to make their plans public.  Christian author, Constance Cumbey quotes New Age author, David Spangler as he made it quite clear how these "lying signs and wonders" accompanying the appearance of the New Age Christ are technologically feasible. Cumbey writes:

"I have learned that the [New Age] Movement has devoted a great deal of research and attention to the use of holographic images.  These are three-dimensional images created in space by use of laser beams.   David Spangler said in a meeting in Southfield, Michigan, February 1, 1982, that laser beam projectors had been installed for use on top of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Episcopal, in New York City.

"I talked to lighting experts to see what laser beam projectors are capable of and I was told they can be beamed onto telecommunications satellites.  The New Agers have several of these at their disposal.  When the lasers bounce from the satellite back to earth, the light rays can be bent in such a manner as to appear that flames are coming from the sky.  These satellites can also be used to project a three-dimensional holographic image viewable by up to one-third of the earth's population.  There is even technology to make the image speak in the language of the areas to which it is beamed." [Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow , pg. 24, published in 1983]

Cumbey reminisced how she thought of a particular Scripture upon learning of this technology. She remembered this Scripture:

"And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast ... And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." [Revelation 13:13-15, Emphasis added]

WHO IS THE AUTHORITY GRANTING THIS POWER [KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY]?

These words, "had power" intrigue me greatly, especially since they are used in direct conjunction with the "lying signs and wonders " by which Antichrist will deceive the vast majority of all the peoples in the world.  If the forces of Antichrist are going to have the "power" [ability, knowledge] to carry out these visual deceptions, by whose authority did they receive this power?  From whom did this special "power" come?

We get the answer in several verses of Revelation.

"And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword." [Rev 6:4]  We know from Rev 6:1 that this particular power came directly from Jesus Christ as he opened the First Seal.

"And when he had opened the fourth seal ... And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth." [Rev 6:7-8]  Once again, we see that the power given the forces of Antichrist flows directly from Jesus Christ.

"And there was given unto him [Antichrist] a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months." [Rev 13:5]  Here, we see that Satan gave the power to Antichrist to speak highly blasphemous statements against Jesus Christ and to enable him to rule for the last 42 months of the Tribulation Period. But, Satan received the power from Jesus Christ.

"And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." [Rev 13:7]  Jesus Christ gives the forces of Antichrist the "power" to overcome His saints in the most unbelievable persecution in all history.

"And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire." [Rev 16:8]  Here we see Jesus Christ empowering this angel with Divine ability to scorch men with fire, the fire of the Sun.

In each of these five instances, the word 'power' in the original Greek meant "ability", "competency", "mastery over", and "superhuman".  The word is Strong's G1849, 'exousia', and is power granted by a superhuman outside force.  In other words, Jesus Christ is prophesied to allowSatan to give the forces of Antichrist special "ability, competency, and mastery over" the knowledge as to how to carry out these specific acts of Divine Judgment. We have long maintained this is the only reason our scientists now have the ability, the knowledge, to control weather and the storms thereof.

We have also regularly stated in the course of this ministry that Satan could not carry out all of God's prophecies concerning the End of the Age with the technology existing in 1900; he needed modern technology.  In our opinion, God has allowed Satan to communicate to his members of Satanic secret societies immense knowledge that has led to our 20th Century explosion of scientific know-how.  Throughout history, many of the greatest minds have gravitated to the secret societies because they longed to increase their knowledge, and to possess knowledge not given to the common masses of society.

Consider the men who were members of secret societies that have had such great influence on our daily lives:

1.  Pythagoras -- originator of much of our knowledge of Geometry.  He left his Greek home to move to Egypt to join the secret society devoted to the study mathematics and geometry.   Today, Pythagoras is thought of so highly by occultists of all stripes that we might rightly call this admiration 'worship'.  Pythagoras was an adept in the Egyptian and Babylonian Satanic Mysteries, from which he learned the three occult sciences of music, mathematics [including Geometry], and astronomy [New Age author, Elizabeth van Buren, The Secrets of the Illuminati, p. 33, also Nesta Webster, Secret Societies and Subversive Movements, 1924, p. 6]

2.  Benjamin Franklin, inventor extraordinare -- Member of the Rosicrucian secret society, and hobnobbed with Freemasons.

3.  Thomas Edison, inventor of the light bulb -- Member of the House of Theosophy

4.  Henry Ford, inventor of the mass production method of assembling vehicles -- Member of the House of Theosophy

5.  Inventor of the Xerox copy machine -- Member of the House of Theosophy

6.  Marcel Vogel, one of the first inventors of the computer, has been giving speeches to New Age audiences for almost two decades now, claiming he received the initial knowledge as to how to use the characteristics of Magnetism to build a computer from a Guiding Spirit during a meditation dream! [Constance Cumbey, Editorial: Underemphasis Of Love Is As Bad Or Worse As An Overemphasis Of Love", New Age Monitor newsletter, June/July, 1989, p. 1]

7.  Apple, Inc., priced their first computer at $666 to demonstrate the occult basis of computer technology.

8.  Master D.K., speaking through his channeler, Alice A. Bailey, claims that the atomic secrets were revealed to human scientists by the Masters of the Logos [Externalisation of the Hierarchy, Lucis Publishing, New York, 1957, p. 190-1, 548]. 

Today, this explosion of information has reached critical mass, doubling every 10 months, with many of the discoveries leading to Antichrist activities, such as genetic engineering of the human body, creating "new" human beings, and dealing in human body parts deliberately grown for transplant.

This information brings us back to the subject of "power being given" to create the "lying signs and wonders" of the Antichrist.  Most people have no difficulty understanding that these "lying signs and wonders" will undoubtedly be used to produce the staged appearance of Antichrist.

TIME FOR A FAKE RAPTURE?

However, these same "lying signs and wonders" could possibly be used against the Christian Church at the most dynamic time in the history of the Times of the Gentiles, i.e., before and during the appearance of Antichrist.  What might be the purpose of the Illuminati to stage just such a fake rapture?   [This is presupposing the technology does, indeed, exist, as the Illuminati claims].

1.  To thoroughly throw panic, confusion, and despair into the ranks of their most mortal enemy, Fundamental Born-Again Christians.  Many genuinely saved Christians will be tremendously puzzled when the Rapture for which they have been expectantly and patiently awaiting has occurred, and they were NOT taken.  One of my friends reported he once had a dream that Jesus returned for His Church, and he was not taken; he was thoroughly awakened from his sleep over this nightmare, and was badly shaking!  At least for a short time, Christians will be thoroughly shaken by the fact that they were still firmly planted on earth, after a rapture occurred which they thought was genuine. Their faith will be tested like never before.

2.  To sow extreme discord into the ranks of genuine Born Again believers.  When genuinely saved Christians discover that their pastor is still on earth also, many will become very angry.  After all, they had followed his teaching, his leading, and his counsel, with the apparent net result being that Jesus Christ rejected both their pastor and them!   On the Sunday morning following the Rapture, a lot of genuinely saved pastors will face a very hostile following.  I believe the initial response will be one of a tremendous fissure opening up among the true brethren.

3.  To validate the ministries and Apostate teachings, of Liberal ministers and their churches.   If this fake Rapture includes the "disappearance" of many Liberal pastors and teachers who have rejected the Deity of Jesus Christ, His uniqueness, and many other cardinal doctrines, then the vast majority of people not religious might think that their teachings were correct, after all.  This lie will then encourage the rest of the population of the Western world to embrace their Ecumenical doctrine.  Since the end result aimed for by these Apostate religious leaders is the establishment of a global religion that embraces ALL religions, this faked Rapture would encourage the unsaved to go in this direction at precisely the time when Antichrist will be making his staged appearance.  Of course, these Apostate religious leaders would not have really disappeared but will have just gone into hiding until no one cares anymore about the faked rapture.  As you consider this possibility, remember that the vast majority of the unsaved do not critically think anymore; they will be mightily led by the nose by the Liberal Media, and will likely believe any lie, no matter how transparent to the thinking individual.

4.  To try to cause as many Christians as possible to lose their faith; this is likely to occur because many Christians have been led to accept false teaching concerning some Bible prophecies, or because they are weak on understanding key doctrine.  The Illuminati is also weak on Biblical doctrine, and so do not realize that no one genuinely saved can ever lose their salvation.  Their goal would be to cause as many as possible to lose what faith they had, even to the point of many committing suicide.   Truly, a fake rapture would shake people's faith like no other event in world history.  It would require every genuinely Born Again believer to take a firm stand upon the Bible doctrine that states unequivocally that all those "who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved". [Acts 16:31; John 3:16-18 in Jesus' own Words; Romans 10:9]  Satan loves to attack Christian's faith; it is his favorite tactic, and the one most commonly used against true Christians.

One of the most troubling trends in Protestant Christianity in the past four decades has been the belief that doctrine really does not matter, that what really matters is experience, specifically the experience of speaking in tongues.  The entire Pentecostal Movement is terribly weak in doctrine, and is emphasizing an experience of speaking in tongues, which Satan can counterfeit -- and does counterfeit -- in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Black Magick Witchcraft. 

In the immediate aftermath of a fake rapture, every Christian's faith will be tested and shaken to the highest degree; at this moment, only the firm anchor of doctrine will save a person's faith.  Is this possible event what Jesus had in mind when He said:  "Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great." [Luke 6:47-49; Emphasis added]

I have heard numerous sermons on this passage, emphasizing that part of the application is to the trials and tribulations of a person's life, but that a part of the application is to the trials and tribulations of the End of the Age.  This latter view is that the Divine Judgments during the 7-year Tribulation Period will constitute the greatest storm possible on a person, and that only those whose foundation is truly Jesus Christ will "endure to the end".
