LAST WAR: LAST JUDGMENT

The Millennial reign has ended. Satan is now loosed for a time to sift the population like wheat. Why is this necessary? Those who obeyed Jesus and His saints because they had to but never chose to serve Him from the heart will be sorted out and destroyed.

The Last War: This war is called the battle of God and Magog.

Rev 20:7  When the thousand years are up, Satan will be let loose from his cell,

Rev 20:8  and will launch again his old work of deceiving the nations, searching out victims in every nook and cranny of earth, even Gog and Magog! He'll talk them into going to war and will gather a huge army, millions strong.

Rev 20:9  They'll stream across the earth, surround and lay siege to the camp of God's holy people, the Beloved City. They'll no sooner get there than fire will pour out of Heaven and burn them up.

Rev 20:10  The Devil who deceived them will be hurled into Lake Fire and Brimstone, joining the Beast and False Prophet, the three in torment around the clock for ages without end.  Message Bible

Gog: This word is found 11 times: once of a Reubenite (1 Chr. 5:4); once in Rev. 20:8 with Magog which is representative of the nations from the four quarters of the earth that will rebel against Christ at the end of the Millennium; and 9 times of the chief prince of Mechech and Tubal  in Ezekiel 38 and Ezekiel 39.

The references to him are of a person. Some have conjectured he is a fallen angel since he reappears through such long stretches of time in Scripture. Possibly this angel rules a human king in these different time periods. Angels cannot posses a human body but because of the willingness of a human through their greed and lust for power can influence and rule over that person and control him as a puppet.

Gog’s army includes all the heathen…Multitudes, multitudes (Joel 3:11-14) 2. The kings of the earth and their armies (Rev. 16:13-16; 19:19-21) 3. The whole world (Rev. 16:13-16)

This will be a huge army whose numbers are described as numerous as the sands of the sea.   They will gather against the Holy city of Jerusalem and surround the camp of the saints. Fire will come down from heaven and devour them all.

Rev 20:9  And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. King James version

There is no mention of how long it will take the devil to deceive the nations and gather this army together, but as you can see by the Scripture above the war itself will be very short. It never ceases to amaze me that the devil and people of the earth can actually believe they can defeat God, the Creator of the Universe.

The earth then ends in fire.

Excerpt from AGENDA’s chapter called FIRE.

At the end of the Millennium, when God defeats all of Satan’s armies for the last time, with fire that cleanses the Earth and the atmospheric heaven, how is the race of man going to survive?

In Exodus 3:2-3, it says "Then was Nebuchadnessar filled with fury and his face was made dark with anger at Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and threw them into the fire. So they bound them tight with ropes and cast them into the furnace, fully clothed. And because the king, in his anger, had demanded such a hot fire in the furnace, the flames leaped out, and killed the soldiers as they threw them in! So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego fell down bound into the roaring flames. But suddenly as he was watching Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and exclaimed to his advisors, "Didn’t we throw three men into the furnace?" Yes," they said, "We did indeed, Your Majesty." "Well, Look!" Nebuchadnezzar shouted. "I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire, and they aren’t even hurt by the flames! And the fourth looks like a god!"

Then Nebuchadnezzar came as close as he could to the open door of the flaming furnace and yelled, "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God! Come out! Come Here." So they stepped out of the fire.

Then the princes, governors, captains and counselors crowded around them and saw that the fire hadn’t touched them. Not a hair of their heads was singed; their coats were unscorched and they didn’t even smell of smoke!

Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, for he sent his angel to deliver his trusting servants when they defied the king’s commandment and were willing to die rather than serve or worship any god except their own."

The same God who spoke from the burning bush and protected the three Hebrew children from the flames will protect those who belong to Him when the Earth and atmospheric heavens are burned. If mankind can make "smart bombs," then God can surely make "smart fire!"

The clothes of the three Hebrew children did not even smell like fire, nor was their hair so much as even singed, and yet those who threw them in were killed instantly.

God has command of fire and can do with it as He pleases. When Elijah was mocking the prophets of Baal, God sent fire that licked up thousands of gallons of water. There is that "smart" fire again!

The fire that changes the heavens and the earth and destroys all the evil rebels at the end of the Millennium will only destroy that which is evil, even disease germs and other unwanted pests, including demons and whatever aliens are still lurking in our atmospheric heavens at the time.

At that time all the oceans will be evaporated and water will be supplied through rivers, lakes, underground springs, and streams. Think of the massive amounts of land that will be uncovered for man to explore and live on!

The Earth will never be destroyed, only renovated. The Earth is eternal and, as it says in Psalms 104:5, "that it should not be removed forever."

In 2 Peter 3:10-13, it says, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with the fervent heat; the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation (behavior) and godliness. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of the Lord, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, Look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness."

TERMINOLOGY

Pass away: Comes from the Greek parerchomai, pass from one condition to another, It never means annihilation.

Element: Refers to the principles of basic elements of the present world system of evil spirits, disease, germs, corruption, and all elements by which men corrupt themselves.

Melt: Means the losing of the atmospheric heavens and the Earth from the curse by fire, not their annihilation.

Works: Works, toil, deeds, labor, and acts of men (houses, structures, etc.) This will include religious works as well.

Burned up: Burn down to the ground, wholly consume with fire. It has reference to the things of the earth and man that need to be removed, so that the things that need not be moved may remain eternally. (Hebrews 12:25-28)

Seeing then: That all the things of Earth and of man that need to be removed will be burned up, leaving only those things that need not to be burned to remain; let us live godly and holy lives.

Looking for: Let us look forward to the renewal of the earth and to the day of God in the new Earth when He will be all in all as before rebellion and sin. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28; Revelation 21:1-22:5)

Promise: See Isaiah 65:17 and 66:22-24. The Earth will have been made new three times.
              1. At its first creation
              2. At the recreation in the six days of Genesis 1:3 to 2:25
              3. At the renovation of the heavens and the earth by fire. (Revelation 21)

The Earth was originally created to be inhabited (Isaiah 45:18) This purpose will be realized forever when the natural people who do not rebel with Satan at the end of the Millennium (Revelation 20:7-10) will remain on the Earth after its renovation by fire and multiply forever, as God intended Adam and his race to do before the Fall.

The following Scripture are included to prove God intends that man be on Earth forever.

"And God said, "This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for PERPETUAL GENERATIONS." (Genesis 9:12) (emphasis added)

"The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children FOREVER, that we may do all the words of the law." (Deuteronomy 29:29) (emphasis added)

"He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest, the throne of his father David. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob FOREVER; and of his kingdom there shall be no end." (Luke 1:32-33) (emphasis added)

"And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." (Revelation 1:6)

"And hast made us unto our God kings and priests, and we shall reign on the earth." (Revelation 5:10)

"And if children, then heirs, heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." (Romans 8:17)

"Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that ye shall judge angels? How much more the things that pertain to this life? (1 Corinthians 6:2-3)

"Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be NO END, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even FOREVER.""(Isaiah 9:7) (emphasis added)

"But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom and possess the kingdom FOREVER, EVEN FOREVER AND EVER." (Daniel 7:18) (emphasis added)

"And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an EVERLASTING KINGDOM, and all dominions shall serve and obey him." (Daniel 7:27) (emphasis added)

"And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute FOREVER in your generations; ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month." (Leviticus 23:42) (emphasis added)

"One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with, an ordinance FOREVER in your generations; as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord." (Numbers 15:15) (emphasis added)

The Last Judgment

1Co 6:2  The day is coming when the world is going to stand before a jury made up of Christians. If someday you are going to rule on the world's fate, wouldn't it be a good idea to practice on some of these smaller cases?

1Co 6:3  Why, we're even going to judge angels! So why not these everyday affairs?

1Co 6:2  Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1Co 6:3  Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? King James Version

Rev 20:11  I saw a Great White Throne and the One Enthroned. Nothing could stand before or against the Presence, nothing in Heaven, nothing on earth.

Rev 20:12  And then I saw all the dead, great and small, standing there--before the Throne! And books were opened. Then another book was opened: the Book of Life. The dead were judged by what was written in the books, by the way they had lived.

Rev 20:13  Sea released its dead, Death and Hell turned in their dead. Each man and woman was judged by the way he or she had lived.

Rev 20:14  Then Death and Hell were hurled into Lake Fire. This is the second death--Lake Fire.

Rev 20:15  Anyone whose name was not found inscribed in the Book of Life was hurled into Lake Fire.

Rev 20:11  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Rev 20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Rev 20:13  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Rev 20:14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Rev 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. King James version

Judgment of Fallen Angels

2Pe 2:4  For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Jud 1:6  And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Jud 1:7  Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

The Great White Throne

This is to be fulfilled after the Millennium and the revolt of Satan, for immediately after these events John saw a great white throne occupied by God, from whose face the Earth and Heaven fled away. This is no doubt the same throne seen throughout the Book of Revelation.  However here is the only place that a description of the throne is given.

THE JUDGES

Both the Father and the Son will be judges (Acts 17:31; Rom. 2:16).

God the Father will decree; the Son will execute (John 5:22-27; Rom. 1:32-2:5)

The saints will have part in this judgment (1 Cor. 6:2-3; Rev. 3:21).

THE SUBJECTS JUDGED

Wicked men of the whole human race except the beast, false prophet, the goat nations, tares, etc., will be the subjects judged (Adts 17:31; Rom. 3:6; Rev 20:11-15). That those judged at the judgment of the nations will not be judged at the final judgment seems clear from Matt. 13:30, 39-43, 49, 50: 24:51; 25:30, 41, 46; Rev. 14:9-11; 19:20, 21: 20:10. These already will have had sentence pronounced upon them a thousand years before the final judgment, so it would not be necessary to judge them again. The ones judged at this judgment will be the wicked dead of all ages whereas those judged at the judgment of the nations will be the living nations on Earth at the return of Christ to set up His eternal Kingdom.

The angels “that sinned” and “are now bound” in Tartarus will also be loosed from their long confinement in chains and be judged at this judgment (2 peter 2:4; Jude 6,7).

LOCATION OF JUDGMENT

The great white throne of God will still be in Heaven, for it is not to come down to the Earth until after the renovation of the Earth by fire and after the New Heaven and the New Earth are completed.  This seems to be proved further by 2 Peter 3:7 where it states that the renovation of the Earth takes place during the final judgment.

PURPOSE

To give every man a fair trial before his condemnation and punishment (Acts 17:31).

To judge the secrets of men (Rom. 2:16).

To judge all idle words (Matt. 12:36).

To judge all works, thoughts, actions and sins of man (1Tim. 5:24; 1Pet. 1:17; Rev. 20:12, 13; 22:12; Rom. 2:5-6).

It is not clear from Re. 20:11-15 what will be the basis of judgment for the angels in Tartarus, but they probably know upon what basis their judgment is to be  as well as does man. It seems clear that only “the dead are judged out of those things which are written in the books,” and that they are judged “according to their works.” It is also clear that it will be an individual judgment, for it is recorded that every man will be judged according to his works. NOTE: This is strictly the unsaved dead. The saints already had their judgment of works while they were in heaven for the Marriage supper of the Lamb and the Tribulation was happening on the earth. We will be witnesses during this final judgment.

The dead who are dealt with here could not include the angels, for the former are the occupants of death and hell. This proves that Hades, the present and temporary Hell, is different from the lake of fire or eternal Hell. The sinner is placed in jail before he is tried and sentenced to the penitentiary. The sinner is guilty while in Hades, although he is not formally condemned before the final judgment. Therefore, he suffers fire in Hades as well as in the lake of fire (Luke 16:10-31), just like a man suffers confinement in jail before he goes to the penitentiary.

LENGTH OF JUDGMENT

The judgment passed on each individual will be eternal. The same terms that are used in describing the eternity of God are used in describing the eternity of Hell, so if one is eternal, the other one must be. (Isa. 66:22-24; Matt. 5:22, 29, 30; 10:28; 13:42 etc.).

Try to imagine the foreverness of the agony of Hell. It boggles the mind.

Prayer for Salvation: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. If we have invited Jesus to come and live within us and be the Lord of our lives then our inheritance in the future kingdom is assured.

God's word says in John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

In order to invite Jesus to be your Savior and Lord, you must believe in you heart that He is the Son of God, believe that He died upon the cross of Calvary as an atonement for your wrong doings, and believe that He arose from death and the grave. We must confess and repent of our sins and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. If you have never done this then stop right now and pray this prayer.

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus repenting and asking forgiveness of all my sins. Your Word says, "whosoever shall call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21). I am calling on You. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10. "If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved" I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I am a Christian ..a child of Almighty God! I am saved!

You are now an heir to the Kingdom of God! Your future is assured. I want to encourage you to find a church in your local area to attend. Tell someone that you have just received Jesus as your Lord. Than start digging into God's Word.

"I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day" (2 Timothy 1:12).
