EZEKIEL 38 & 39

Rosh, Meshech and Tubal were sons of Japheth who was one of Noah’s sons. These descendents dispersed north to lands beyond the Caspian and Black Sea, namely Russia and other gentile nations in the north. This is Gog, the king of the North. Ezekiel 38:1-2

Israel now has a wall to keep terrorists out. They are constantly being pressured to tear it down. In Ezekiel the cities in Israel are unwalled due to the peace treaty the antichrist has assured. This is 31/2 years into the 7 year peace treaty. This is not Armageddon.

In the time of Ezekiel there were two Persias: One located in Ethiopia and the other in Iran. Libya can be considered as representing the whole of the Arab coalition whose hatred and violence against the Jews is well known. At this time God grows weary of the constant attacks on the apple of His eye. This Russian/Arab coalition that is even now in existence (Russian advisors help Iran with their nuclear plants and give them weapons as they once did Iraq) will march with all their latest weaponry provided by Russia against the apple of God’s eye.

The evil thought of Gog (the land of Russian and her Arab coalition) will be that of going up against Israel now at rest and at peace in their land. The unwalled villages leave them totally vulnerable to any attack. Note: some think Gog is Russia, but it makes more sense to say Gog represents all the gentile powers who hate Israel.

The only time America may even be remotely referred to is in verse 13 of Ezekiel 38 when the young lions are mentioned. England is the old lion and we in America are the young lions and part of the trading merchants described. This is the only reference. At that time we will be hardly a blip on the screen. After earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters visited on us as a punishment for being so much like Sodom and Gomorrah and perhaps even a major terrorist attack we are no longer a world power. This will be after the evacuation by Jesus of the people of God in this country. (rapture) Even if a terrorist attack should be on the oil fields in Saudi Arabia think how that would effect our economy. No oil, no gas, no food, no aircraft in the sky. Economy stopped.

The environmentalists don’t want oil fields in Alaska. Without them our economy perishes at the whim of terrorists. The caribou can move elsewhere. The survival of PEOPLE should come first.

Eze 38:16 you will come up against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land. In the latter days I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.

Eze 38:19 For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

Eze 38:20 the fish of the sea, and the birds of the air, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground.

Eze 38:21 I will summon every kind of terror against Gog, says the Lord GOD; every man's sword will be against his brother.

Eze 38:22 With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with him; and I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples that are with him, torrential rains and hailstones, fire and brimstone.

Eze 38:23 So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

God will destroy by a huge and terrible earthquake that will swallow men and machine whole into hell and also by turning one against the other so that they kill one another and by a great rain of hailstones.

All the Jews in Israel will now know who God is and that He is fighting on their behalf and they will glorify Him whom they have pierced. Many nations will know who GOD is. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob NOT Allah!

In Ezekiel 39 God states that only 1/6 of those in that great Army will be left alive. They will be struck down by God Himself on the mountains of Israel. Buzzards will eat their carcasses. This is the worst curse imaginable to the Arab nations.

Eze 39:4 You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your hordes and the peoples that are with you; I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the wild beasts to be devoured.

Eze 39:5 You shall fall in the open field; for I have spoken, says the Lord GOD.

Eze 39:6 I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Eze 39:7 "And my holy name I will make known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let my holy name be profaned any more; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

Eze 39:8 Behold, it is coming and it will be brought about, says the Lord GOD. That is the day of which I have spoken.

In these days there will be 4 main powers. (1) Russia the King of the North (2) the Arab nations, the King of the South (3) China and the Orient: the King of the East (4) The antichrist and his European nations: the King of the West.

The wreckage and corpses will be so many it will take Israel years to clean it up. They will use the wood and oil they find for fuel and it will be unnecessary to cut down any trees and any other resources other than the spoil of this carnage for 7 years.

Later it will take 7 months to bury the dead after the battle of Armageddon at the end of the 7 years of tribulation. At Armageddon Jesus Himself returns with all His saints to rid the earth of the rest of all evil people and Jesus will cast the antichrist and the false prophet into the Lake of Fire. Satan will be thrown and chained into the bottomless pit for 1000 years.

Editorials in Iranian newspapers claim '50 percent of Israel already destroyed,' say 'Israel must collapse.' Iranian newspapers Kehyan and and Resalat have urged Muslims around the world to prepare for a 'great war' to destroy the State of Israel.

The newspapers published the editorials, translated from Persian by MEMRI , the Middle East translation service, to mark 'Quds' day on October 20, an Iranian 'holiday' calling for the "liberation" of Jerusalem and war against Israel.

"Hizb'allah destroyed a t least half of Israel in the Lebanon war... Now only half the path (to its destruction) remains," an editorial in the conservative Keyhan newspaper declared.

"It was proven that, by means of an offensive operation that need not be equal to Israel's moves, it is possible to neutralize the Zionist navy," the article said triumphantly.

'Great War Not Far Off'

It continued: "Just as in one 33-day war more than 50 percent of Israel was destroyed, and the hope of its supporters for the continued life of this regime was broken, it is likely that in the next battle, the second half will also collapse."

"On that day... Jordan will not be able to prevent the Jordanian Islamists from operating through the long Jordan-Palestine border, and the millions of Egyptian Islamists... will not let the Sinai-Israel border remain quiet, and the Syrian Golan Heights will not remain as a (mere) observer of the battle. That day is not so far off."

Th e Resalat newspaper struck a similarly bellicose tone with an editorial entitled "Preparations for the Great War."

"The great war is ahead of us, (and will break out) perhaps tomorrow, or in another few days, or in a few months, or even in a few Years... Israel must collapse," the newspaper said.

It added: "For the first time in the 60 years of its disgraceful life, the Zionist regime - the West's beloved in the Middle East - tasted the taste of defeat, and the citizens of this regime trembled at the menace of Hizbullah's missilesâ€¦ The nation of Muslims must prepare for the great war, so as to completely wipe out the Zionist regime, and remove this cancerous growth. Like the Imam (Ayatollah) Khomeini said: 'Israel must collapse.'"

Many get this battle in Ezekiel 38 and 39 and the battle of Armageddon confused. They are two separate events; probably separated by 31/2 years.

The arrogance and violence of the Arab nations and Russia against Israel and God’s people will not go unpunished. Terrorists will not win! God will see to that.
